Southwater Community Centre

Welcome

Southwater Area OfficeSouthwater Area Community Centre was originally built as part of the Southwater Renewal project in St. Leonards. The Centre is managed by a committee of local volunteers and supported by a part-time paid coordinator. Southwater Area Community Centre opened it's doors for the first time in May 2002.

The Centre is a multi purpose facility offering a variety of clubs, courses, events and activities to all local residents of Hastings and St. Leonards. Our aim is to offer something to everyone and we are always seeking ways to improve and expand how we can meet the needs of the community.

Southwater Area Community Centre to give free space

Southwater Area Community Centre would like to offer free space to a local individual who is keen to start up a new interest group or course. SACC’s charter is to help bring together the inhabitants of the surrounding area in an effort to improve the conditions of life for residents. Any application should reflect these gaols.

The grant is for 2 hours per week for 10 weeks. The day and time is of the applicants choosing as long as it does not conflict with existing events.

The facilities at the centre include full disabled access with a lift to access the upper floor, a fully fitted kitchen, Café area, a small room suitable for up to five people and a main hall able to cater for up to thirty. SACC is located directly opposite Warrior Sq train station enabling easy access by rail and road.

To apply for this offer please send your proposal to Southwater Area Community Centre, 1/2 Stainsby St, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex TN37 6LA or email enquiries@southwatercentre.org. If you have any questions and would like to telephone, the number is 01424 461 414.
